As one of our team leaders is moving on to new challenges, we are now looking for a new team leader for our wonderful group at Youth Authority.

Your responsibilities
As a team leader at Youth Authority, you are responsible for leading and distributing the daily work within the unit, guiding and supporting social workers, as well as making decisions according to current delegation. The unit is responsible for investigations and follow-ups of interventions based on current legislation regarding children and youth at risk. As a team leader, you are expected to drive processes forward and work to improve and develop the operations. You are part of a management group within the unit together with the unit manager and team leaders to develop the operations, consensus, collaboration, and legal security. The position also includes staying updated on changes in legislation as well as case management and documentation. You are expected to be well-versed in the authority's exercise of power regarding the target group. Professionalism, broad collaboration, and innovation are guiding principles for the unit's development.
We work according to the BBIC investigation method and use the Combine data system.
Who are you?
As a team leader at Youth Authority, you represent the Social Services' Children and Youth towards clients, citizens, and partners, therefore you possess a broad knowledge of the Social Services' exercise of authority and interventions and can make independent assessments in cases as well as guide and support the social workers working within the unit. You are flexible and can work at a fast pace.
Personal qualities:
- You have a strong commitment and knowledge in the exercise of authority regarding children and youth.
- You can remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- You have a good attitude towards both clients and colleagues and partners
- You have the ability to analyze situations and make independent decisions based on current legislation and guidelines.
- You are responsible and work according to Södertälje municipality's values where we respect all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, and sexual orientation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work
- You have experience in social work with children/youth
- You have experience working within social services with authority exercise
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
- Good computer skills
- B driver's license
Meritorious:
- Education and experience working according to Signs of Safety.
- Previous leadership experience in social work
